During the reception, the photographer will capture shots of decor, speeches, first dance, and other important moments. If the couple is doing a formal exit, such as a sparkler send-off, I will typically stick around to capture those final shots.

The photographer will typically take formal family portraits. It's important to create a shot list beforehand to ensure that all the necessary family members are included.

If the couple has chosen to do a first look, this is usually done 1-2 hours before the ceremony. This is a great opportunity for the photographer to capture some intimate and romantic shots of the couple alone. Photographer will typically move on to taking photos of the bridal party. This includes shots of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and any other family members or friends who are part of the wedding party.

Assign a liaison: Assign a family member or close friend to be your family liaison. This person can help gather family members for the photos.
Communicate with your photographer: Share your list of family photos with me. I can help you ensure that everyone is in the right place at the right time.
Choose a location: Select a location that provides a nice background and lighting for the photos or a location that has sentimental value to your family.
Be patient: Taking family photos can be a bit chaotic, so be patient and flexible. Remember to enjoy the moment have fun with family.
